Mark C. Hobbs, Executive Director
Mark Hobbs is the Executive Director of the Bernard & Audre Rapoport Foundation, a role he assumed in January of 2022, and an attorney. He has served on numerous boards and is currently a director on the boards of Waco Family Medicine and Central National Bank. He was part of the 23rd class of Leadership Waco.
In 2014, Mark co-founded the Johnson Hobbs & Squires LLP law firm and served as its Managing Partner until 2021. He attended Baylor Law School and started his legal career in 2005 at the Beard, Kultgen, Brophy, Bostwick and Dickson law firm. Mark is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Estate Planning and Probate Law.
Prior to law school, Mark held the position of Senior Associate in the Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance Group, where his business consulting practice primarily involved the valuation of business entities and corporate merger and acquisition advisory. Thereafter, he held the position of Finance Manager of Intrinsity, Inc., an Austin, Texas designer of high-performance microprocessors. Mark completed his M.B.A. at Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business in 1998, after graduating from Abilene Christian University (B.B.A. – Finance) in 1997.
jenny Peel, PROGRAM OFFICER
Jenny Howe Peel is a Program Officer at the Bernard & Audre Rapoport Foundation. Having joined the Rapoport Foundation staff in 2018, Jenny’s portfolio includes grants in TX/US (aka Discretionary) & Israel.
Jenny has served on multiple boards in the Waco area including the Junior League of Waco and the Association of Fundraising Professionals as well as having served over the last 18 years in a volunteer capacity for an array of local nonprofits. She is a graduate of Leadership Waco, Class of XXIX.
For 20+ years and counting, Jenny’s nonprofit career path has taken her from private foundation work to professional fundraising and stewardship and back into the foundation world. After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Mass Communications – Advertising from Southwest Texas State University, Jenny continued her studies at Texas State for a Master of Public Administration. (Same school, different name. Eat ‘em up, Cats!)
In her free time, Jenny can often be found taking on far too many volunteer obligations, acing New York Times quizzes, and cheering on her daughter and son in their academic and athletic adventures. She also is quite proud of her miniature dachshund, Tunafish.
casey sadler, PROGRAM OFFICER
Casey Sadler is a Program Officer at the Bernard & Audre Rapoport Foundation overseeing grants made to Waco partners, the First Gen Rapoport Scholarship program at McLennan Community College, and the Rapoport Scholars program at the University of Texas at Austin.
In 2008, Casey began a career in the banking industry at Central National Bank, where she met B Rapoport, who in 2010 persuaded her to take on the challenge of becoming his Executive Assistant. Within two short years, Casey transitioned to the Foundation as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director and Grants Administrator, later transitioning to her current role.
Casey’s out-of-office hobbies include volunteering in her two daughters’ school activities, attending local sporting events, cooking, amateur sports photography, and misadventures with family and friends.
